CURRENT SEARCH
My current research focuses on improving data-based models of the Earth's ionospheric and magnetospheric magnetic fields. I use measurements from ground magnetic observatories, the CHAMP satellite and the Swarm satellite constellation. My main project consists in modeling the magnetospheric field local time asymmetries for all geomagnetic activities. It involves the development of a new local time dependent magnetospheric index. I am also working on a secondary project which consists in building a climatological model of the low- and mid-latitude F-region ionospheric electric currents and magnetic fields.
